L&B Takes Delivery of First Newbuild Tanker “HANSA GUANGZHOU”

The 49,500 dwt vessel is equipped with an exhaust gas cleaning system and complies with the current Tier III and EEDI Phase 3 standards.

With the delivery of its first newbuild, L&B is taking an important step in expanding and modernising its tanker fleet. Built by Guangzhou Shipyard International, the 49,500 dwt chemical/product tankers are 183 metres long, 32 metres wide and designed for a speed of 14.5 knots.

The newbuilds feature an optimised hull structure and energy-saving systems, enabling significantly reduced fuel consumption. Like the sister vessels still to follow, HANSA GUANGZHOU will be integrated into Navig8’s Gamma8 MR Pool as part of the partnership with Navig8.

The vessel’s maiden voyage will take her from Asia across the Pacific to the United States.
