Junior Vetting Manager (m/f/d)

To strengthen our tanker fleet operations, we are looking for a candidate who will support our vetting and operational processes to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance and performance across our fleet.

This position is ideal for candidates with a seagoing background who wish to develop their careers ashore in ship management, as well as for applicants with other relevant experience in technical management or maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Nautical, deck, and hull supervision and inspection of the tanker fleet
  • Organization of vessel vettings on board
  • Communication with charterers and correspondence with Oil Majors
  • Updating and maintaining vetting lists, including CDI and OCIMF databases
  • Managing VPQ updates in SIRE and maintaining Q88 documentation
  • Reviewing and developing TMSA (Tanker Management and Self-Assessment)
  • Participation in shipboard inspections, audits, classification meetings, OCIMF events and crewing agency audits
  • Support budget planning and cost control in cooperation with the Technical Group for the tanker fleet

Your Profile

  • Marine Master degree or equivalent nautical qualification
  • Preferably seagoing experience as an Chief Officer or comparable technical background
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Confident communicator in English (both written and spoken)
  • Proficient in MS Office and managing databases und documentation systems
  • Team player with a proactive hands-on approach
