Junior Technical Superintendent (m/f/d)

We are looking for a motivated employee who´s passionate about the technical management of container and multipurpose vessels.

This position is ideal for candidates with a seagoing background who wish to develop their careers ashore in ship management, as well as for applicants with other relevant experience in technical management or maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper engine and electrical maintenance on assigned vessels
  • Organize and follow up on service, repair and technical inspections
  • Troubleshoot engine problems and coordinate necessary corrective actions
  • Maintain active correspondence with makers, classification societies and charterers
  • Monitor and develop the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) across the fleet
  • Evaluate engine performance data, HFO analyses and oil samples
  • Review and update Safety Organization (SO) systems for all vessels
  • Control and monitor budgets in cooperation with the Fleetmanager
  • Approve quotations and process invoices
  • Assist in budgeting for assigned vessels
  • Conduct shipside inspections, drydockings, classification meetings and attend makers workshops

Your Profile

  • Marine Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification
  • Preferably seagoing experience as an Engineer Officer or comparable technical background
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Confident communicator in English (both written and spoken)
  • Proficient in MS Office, experience with PMS systems and technical reporting preferred
  • Team player with a proactive hands-on approach
